The A-list cast of upcoming caper movie “Thieves” is currently in Hong Kong for the first leg of shoots.
“Thieves” reunites recent Cannes attendee Jeon Ji Hyun (“Snow Flower and the Secret Fan”) with her “Il Mare” co-star Lee Jung Jae (“The Housemaid.”) Kim Yoon Seok (“The Chaser”), Kim Hye Soo(“Tazza”), Oh Dal Soo (“The Fixer,” “Bangja Chronicle”), Kim Hae Sook (“Life Is Beautiful”) and Kim Soo Hyun (“Dream High”) complete the film’s star-studded line-up.
The cast are in the Fragrant Harbor for principal photography and primary location shoots since their characters, a team of thieves will pull the high-end heist of “The Sun’s Tear” diamond in a Macau casino.
The film, described as the “Korean Ocean’s Eleven,” is under the helm of director Choi Dong Hoon (“Tazza,” “The Big Swindle,” “Jeon Woo Chi.”)
